Hi there - Here are some shots i took of some Parajubaea torallyi var. torallyi growing in New Zealand just the other day. ( Hope you like )

They are stunning! Thanks for sharing those pics with us.

I've got a small one of these and after seeing those pics I'm really tempted to grow it on to being the specimen palm right in the centre of my garden.

Thanks Gogglebox - I bought a small one as well PB40, 1M size and will plant out when it gets a little bigger.

I have never seen a picture of these before so if I can i will try to buy one from somewhere.

They should grow outside okay in Southampton.

The climate here where these are growing is on the warm side, and even though they look healthy - they tolerate it. They would prefer it to be cooler at nights with lower dew point temperatures and lower rainfall. Up around Kerikeri in the far north of New Zealand these palms are unreliable and i have been told that they lose 50% of these due to rot. This place here is about 20km inland from the coast.

Ha Ha - good spotting, i did not see the portable loo when i framed the shot up and only realised it later on after i uploaded the photos.

I love these palms. So glad I picked up a 1/2 price PTVT from Amulree. Quite hard to find in decent sizes.
