in response to your initial question,today i have noticed that my butia x jubaea is sending up an abnormal long first leaf,and pretty quick too.i have an eriospatha in the same place and that is quite normal?? maybe its in the genes

Yes none of my other palms in the propagator are showing this anomaly!
