Having searched again I found that there is an experiment to compare those with and those without. This would give a more useful comparison.

had a good look at them today imran.the first and only palm seedling to have roots poking out the bottom is the chamaerops without palmbooster.the chunkiest seedling is the Trachycarpus without palmbooster. the other 2 are doing well,not far behind, give them another 6 months and i will turn them out to inspect the root masses
