I take it all Ricinus are destroyed by the frost each year. But is it ever considered worthwhile to try and overwinter decent specimens in this country despite all the hassle? cheers

I think the fact they are so easy from seed, to overwinter them would take up valuable space reserved for the more expensive stuff
