I take it you mean a Trachycarpus fortunei ?

Looks more Livistona to me.

I have a couple of Trachycarpus that have 360 degree leaves, but they are not as circular, that trait is more Livistona to me. Not sure about the trunk tho'.

Looks like a Trachycarpus thats been shaded out for a few years by that now dead treefern. icon_thumright

It is a pup of the big one next to it took me 2 hours to dig out and separate. Main trunk is dead.

Has little spikes on the stems like a chamareops.

Its looks like a shade grown fortunei, a better pic of the plant would confirm. It could possibly be chamerops humilis but would have to be VERY stretched.

yep thats a VERY stretched chamaerops , it wont stay like that once its grown back, but they suffer quite badly to root disturbacne so it will a long slow recovery.

Its very attractive Cordy and well worth £10, also a good workout away from the gym :lol: It has really nice coloured fronds, hope it does well for you :D
