BEGONIA 'Firecracker'
Re: BEGONIA 'Firecracker'
Hi i had these in my wall hangers i just treat them as annuals .
Re: BEGONIA 'Firecracker'
Mine were not bonfire but I wanted to save two,
A hanging basket brilliant orange and a deep red which was in a tub but the way it grew droopy a hanging basket next season.
I just put them in the shed, in a day or two shake the soil and store in newspaper.
That is a nice plant Leigh.
But which is it?
This is the one I like on Flickr..not mine
http://www.flickr.com/photos/antique_fu ... 637889593/ I love this one.
Then there is this:

Bit of tropicals going on there too in Scotland.
Both beauties in there own right.

Once dry Leigh,
If worst comes to the worst you can store in a container in your house in the dark. Try to save cus they just get better each year. Keep looking and checking them for mould, then watch in spring for tiny red shoots, thats when to bring to the light.
I never had a Dahlia as big as mine were this year. I bought two out cheap bin at Homebase..brilliant size so I am leaving mine in the pot with cover.
I want some more next season. I say next season cus next year sounds yonks away..lmaooooooooooo
