Don't know about wildpretii, but Echium pininana says do not exclude light so must be near the surface at 18 to 20C
Best regards

Ditto.

I've not grown this one JJ, but have grown Echium pininana. The propagation procedure is the same.....

Sow at a depth 0f 3mm, Germination takes 7-21 days at 18-20 C.

I grew mine on the kitchen window sill with 100% success icon_thumleft with no bottom heat

I grew them from seed to flower many years ago and that took three years for me, I found wildpretii hardier than pininana but they must be kept dry in winter or there prone to rot!
I would over winter them in my cold greenhouse were temps went down to -5 sometimes.

It’s the most beautiful flower I’ve ever grown from seed :)
