I do that with all sorts of stuff, if you're not happy with the way it looks... change it This grows quite fast so if you get it wrong have another go in 6 weeks

It's heavily perfumed as well so another reason for wanting the flowers.

Mines just come into flower and house sparrows look to be nesting in it so its earnt a reprieve for now.

I used to plant many of the yellow choisya (sundance), but found that they suffer in the very cold and grow slow (the top leaves crisp in the cold, and it takes a long time before they look good again) .... I now plant Euonymus fortunei , but they also grow slow:
