New Bamboo culm and tree branch interaction, yay or nay?

Post by cordyman » Mon Jun 03, 2013 6:49 pm

A load of my new Fergasia Robusta Campbell bamboo culms are growing up into my overhead lilac tree branch, I quite like the effect of the enclosure it gives the entrance and exit to the upper garden, but I don't want to restrict/damage the new culms, should I cut the lilac tree back to give them space, or should they be fine once the canes toughen up? no heavy wind forcast here for the next week at least.

Ps. look how blutty tall this seasons culms are, getting on for 10ft

just leave them to do their own thing, like in the wild.
a few might get snapped or damaged but so what icon_thumright
