the two litre sizes have been fine but I think the 9cm sizes would give me trouble, needing too much care and attention to get going and established.

I am one of those gardeners that always goes for the instant size/effect if they have the chance :)

will there be anything new for 2014?

Nothing new in Fatsias but some new Araliaceae should be ready next season.
If all goes well Oreopanax leibmannii and Sinopanax will be available in small quantities

Mine has grown out of the 9cm pot and is now racing ahead in a 1 litre pot. Seems to grow quickly and it is only January.

The new leaves are beginning to palmate but more and more. Am hoping for more deeply cut palmation but the pic posted of the 'Megafatsia macrophylla' makes it look like a fat Fatsia and less like the Fatsia taiwania 'Edward Needham' form but let's see.

If growth continues at a fast pace then it may be a great plant.
