Hardy Tropicals UK

I've only had one year where the larvae attacked. Covered the plant in a sticky poo like mess. Maybe why I'm so diligent with them now. It seems as soon as the sun comes out, the lily beetle arrive.
On a side note, I've not had any cuckoo spit on any plants yet. Could it be I'm free of leaf hoppers this year?
