Record for biggest temp variance in 3 weeks?

Start of October seen record high temps and now 3 weeks on were seeing frosts. What is the record for biggest temp variance in the UK and over what period of time?

Try the first week of June in 1975 - heavy sno|w on 2 June, and heatwave by the end of the week. Far more change than this October!

There has been a record of a variance of over 20C in a single day before in the UK, so a 3 week period can often see a dramatic difference in temperatures...

I terms of the UK, (and not a specific station), in August 2003, the 38C in Gravesend, was offset by minimums of -1C.

Thats a difference of 39C!

It's definitely up there as a contender for biggest monthly variation.
