Yep, last night was the worst so far! Had to scrape the car a couple of times just after the 9th of nov but last night all the Cannas, gingers, dahlias etc are completely blackened.

Last nights temp was measured at 0.9 here!

I only managed +3c overnight and it was up to 6c at dawn.

Didn't measure the temperature but cars and grass were covered in frost. Suspect -1 or -2.

All my plants are outside, but the palms were covered with large dust sheets and wrapped with 150w of rope lights. No sign of any damage so far.

Yes it went down to -3C in Farnborough, Odiham & Middle Wallop (Hampshire) & -2C in Larkhill & Boscombe Down (Wiltshire). Coldest down here was Hurn Airport (near Bournemouth) with -4C. Even on the coast it was cold though, Thorney Island & Shoreham Airport (West Sussex) both had -1C...

A bit of cloud cover now, temps up to 1.0.

First frost here: -1.0c but +0.5c at sunrise, so very brief.

Not much on the grass, so fairly dry. Cannas turckheimeri and pretoria, Ricinus and Hedychium forrestii (leaves going over) still in the ground and near shelter show no sign of blackening.

1 degrees at midnight then dropped down to -1.8 degrees.
-1 at 7am. So yes I have now had a frost. Getting to 10th December is pretty good I reckon. A very long season.
Remaining cannas are black already.
