Scotland gets battered regularly by high winds and trees and things are regularly "pruned" by them. However, storm force winds are not a regular occurrence down south and could cause a LOT of damage.

Well they've changed it again! Current chart shows it's going to be nearly calm now on Thurs/Fri night, except along the south coast.

Looks like the south is going to cop it (for a change!) but with snow for the midlands and wales. I'm sure we'll get some too!

Looks like we are going to cop it on the south coast tomorrow night.

Wind gusts possible up to 80 mph possible in Southampton.

But we should miss the snow with luck.

France is going to get a battering as well.
