Since today was the first day of winter, it's the highest temp of the winter 2011/12 season at 8°C. Three more months of winter remain, but here, our daylight will be 3 seconds longer tomorrow.

Cheers, Barrie.

I take it this topic is in some way trying to say it is mild :?:

We generally get 10 to 13C in December at some point, and this December is no different. The high this winter (December) is 12.7C, but the average max (mean max) is 8.4C, 0.4C below LTA, and the average min (mean min) is 2.5C, 0.8C below LTA.

What this means is, so far this winter is colder than average here.
Best regards
Dave

Dave, I would be very very very surprised if, at the end of this week, you're still below average!

Minimum overnight here was 10.4C icon_thumleft

It is currently 12.5C so i doubt we'll see 15C today but we might see 13-14C here.

Stephen, it was 7.9C overnight and has struggled to 11.3C, we'll be lucky to make 12C today now as the wind is getting stronger capping temps. Wind gusting to over 20mph now from NW.

It is positively mild now. The sun is out and ladies are wearing short skirts. No idea of the temp as I'm at work but must be at least 12 degrees.

Even so, thats still an average of 3-4C above average for the time of year - so by December 31st im positive you'll be back above average.
