Lots of flooding up here, almost all the major roads and railways closed, including the A1 and the East Coast Main Line.

Lots of roads shut round here too, unfortunately the railway is still running.

Still raining, 40 hrs continuous although considerably lighter now than at 6 this morning.

My sons school closed again due to flooding, 3rd time in as many months  They have sustained so much damage its heartbreaking, they only just got over the last lot of considerable damage 2/3 weeks ago and now this :(

We are hosting some New Zealand rugby players this week, god only knows what they must be thinking, hope they have packed water proofs

Beautiful sunny morning here, but peppered with huge anvils on the horizon. :|
Just had a look HERE and it looks as though the NE and NW are definitely taking the worst of it at the moment although Bristol and Avon have a lot of warnings in place too.

Hopefully nobody will end up with hydroponic palms.

Around here, even though it isn't flooded, plants are starting to show signs of stress, even hardy evergreen plants looks quite ill, developing leaf loss and yellowing leaves, I know it's from the rain, the ground is at saturation point, so a few plant deaths will occur from this, I just hope it's not in my garden!

Spoke too soon as the anvils arrived shortly after. Not torrential rain, but much more rain than sun now :( Temps yo-yo-ing between 11 and 13C
Best regards

Sounds like an indoor cannabis grower's affliction!

Not a bad day here in Southampton but quite showery this afternoon.

A fair bit of sun and blue skies between these scattered showers.

A chilly wind though and a maximum temperature of only about +14c.

We didn't get that much rain from the storm but it was a bit breezy up the channel.

In spite of that unusually cold Monday we haven't suffered here like the rest of the UK.

Certainly sounds like it  nothing like that ever happened when I was there. Wonder what's changed with the drainage?? Maybe too much building on the playing fields?

RGS, not a bad school then!

Horrendous around here but no damage to my house or garden yet but it has rained heavily for over 36 hours  :(

Lots of roads closed and the east coast mainline.
