Forcast low of 5 tonight
Forcast low of 5 tonight
...but so far we have strong northwesterly winds which is keeping the temp artificially high
Which plants should really be undercover tonight? Maybe I am just a little over zealous having lost loads of plants in the winter of 2010/2011

I'm not too worried. Ok, I'm down south but we're not in winter just yet and temps will bounce up to low teens fairly quicklygreyhound wrote:...but so far we have strong northwesterly winds which is keeping the temp artificially high

Re: Forcast low of 5 tonight
I'm considering whether or not to bring the alocasia in. Everything else will be fine.

Re: Forcast low of 5 tonight
its dipped down to 5C the last couple nights and I haven't done a thing. B lux is still outside with everything else. the mins are 5C but I think its 24.4C right now and projected warmer this weekend. not going to lift or move what I don't have to..I have heard talk of a frost next week though then it will be time to dig em up
Re: Forcast low of 5 tonight
Will be leaving my stuff out till frosts. It was down to 5c in the conservatory and garage last year so hoping everythings nice and tough as a result ?
Re: Forcast low of 5 tonight
my most tender plant is the Calidora and Tesco eddoes, all staying out till I see frosts, currently 7.4*c
Re: Forcast low of 5 tonight
By all accounts warm/hot days make all the difference to how plants can cope with cold night temperatures. I envy youmiketropic wrote:the mins are 5C but I think its 24.4C right now and projected warmer this weekend
Condensation running on the inside of the windows this morning, clearly wet & cold
