Hardy Tropicals UK

Getting repetitive now. I have the week off to do the garden and can't get out to do what I wanted to do. I need it to be dry for the sleepers to dry out before I attach plastic to one side of them. It's like a mud bath out there and things will start flying at around lunch time with the strong winds!

I like wet and mild but could do with a respite. (Us British always moan about the weather!)

I'll have this wet and windy stuff all winter thank you. It's a lot more preferable than ice and that white stuff

My TV aerial was twisted around in the first storm so we went up on the roof to straighten it up. Then the next storm twisted it again, so it can stay like it now until storm season is over.

Im sick of this indoor restrictive storm after storm pattern.

Give me cooler still dry weather. I can thermal up and spend time outdoors more comfortably then.

Polyhouse still hasnt blown away, which im impressed with, bamboos are bending to the floor grrrrrr

You have the wrong sport for NW UK Canoeing is a better match for your area You get wet regardless, so doesn't matter if it rains

The cold front has passed over here now, the rain stopped, and the sun out. Wind's tailing off, regrouping for tomorrow

Think the official average here is only 800mm ish per annum

But i'll agree on the mountain biking, its not really happening at the moment, trees down on trails, mud like gloop, and ravines in some places where its usually dusty and dry

I have a new strategy with my polyhouse, surround it with my FOUR recycling wheely bins of various colours, acts as a great windbreak and anchors it all in place

Wind has died down here now too

Still cold and damp outside but the wind is dropping.

In London it's ~550mm per annum, marginally more than Tel Aviv. But London feels much damper than Tel Aviv due to the lower temps slowing down the evaporation, and the rainfall is more evenly distributed here
