Another Newbie

Post by Clive60 »

Hi, I thought I would join in here as I recognise a few names.
Having recently moved from a garden on heavy clay to one that is mainly sand is going to be a challenge for my exotics. I might need some advice.

Hi Clive icon_thumright and welcome icon_salut

Clay and sand both have problems. Having clay, I think I'd prefer sandy, unless in a drought
Best regards
Dave

Thanks for the welcome, as some of you may know I have grown most of my exotics either at work or in pots in my back garden. Now I can put them in the ground (at last) and now I have just retired I have more time to spend working on it, providing I have completed all the tasks on 'The List' which will no doubt be left by the o/h every morning.
I have only brought 7 Callistemons with me so I am lacking a few. How's yours Bob?

Pallidus was the only one to survive the last few winters Clive.
It's bulking up into a nice sized shrub in the front garden. icon_thumright .
I've sent you a PM Clive, but not sure if you can recieve or send them yet.? If you havent, I'll paste it into a PM on UKEG.
