New member - New garden!
Re: New member - New garden!
Hoping to be complete and planted up by the end of the month weather permitting. The landscapers are unsure about the turf as this will be one of the last jobs. If we have a freeze or snow it will get left until spring.

PLANTS!
Had a delivery of plants yesterday. Some are leafless pots and some look a bit more glamorous. The two Dicksonia A's are lying on the ground. Turns out they are unpotted which surprised me as I paid the landscapers alot for delivery I could have got a better deal elsewhere using some of the nurseries mentioned in this forum, ho hum.
Turf arriving today and the guys should be clearing up tomorrow.

It's looking really good. A proffessionally designed space and it shows. Very jealous at teh speed at which the garden is coming together. One thought though, as you've spent the money to get it looking perfect are you going to feather board the side of the fence that hasn't been done?
Re: New member - New garden!
Thanks for the comments. Today is the final day the guys are on-site and Im meeting with the designer later for a walk-through.
I have considered the fencing and I really like the horizontal strip effect, especially in contempary gardens so may consider that before the foliage gets too intrusive. It would also add additional costs and Im flat broke now
I still have the irrigation system and the summer house projects for next year so its far from complete. Im just pleased to have my garden back, and a face-lifted one at that!
I will get some final pictures up on the weekend if the weathers good.

Hi!
I live in Hungary and has a large garden here.I am a member of a local board Palmy.
I started a couple of pieces of smaller palms. Then I acquired a larger ones.
Later on I bought a variety of plants, not just palm.
Now a part of the garden jungle.
Here the winters are not so mild. Therefore, a lot of winter shelter build.
Be heated them many times.
I do not know English very well, so sorry.
