Musa Little Prince

Post by musa_monkey »

This Randy Salter introduction occurred as a mutation of Musa 'Novak'. Musa 'Little Prince' grows to a maximum of 2 1/2 ft tall. A super dwarf with green leaves that are heavily flecked with red when exposed to sun light.

Definately a cav of sorts. It is the standard 'multiple names' to sell more plants  Looks like a nice nana though
Best regards

Its a hybrid, and a very small one, patented in the US.
Definately some Cav in there though.

There are a few more pix in the Wiki here

Oh, if patented it can't be just another name then. Maybe one for me to look out for as I lost ALL my Super Dwarf Cavs last winter and spring
Best regards

A couple of months on from when i obtained this little musa and i have to say i am very impressed with it as a houseplant.

It was in amongst several lasciocarpa's for a while all of which suffered Red Spider Mite
but for some reason they left this one alone?
Its already pushing out no less than four pups, here's a new picture.

Looks great Alan. The one good thing about the cavendish family is they always send out loads of pups.
