I thought duck was a Stoke thing?
Welcome Kev, nice plants, how long you been into tropicals?
Re: Pics from a newbie
Nice stuff Kev, welcome.
You have selected good plants to start with, and I guarantee you in a year you'll be hooked on this, and you'll have filled your garden!
ps I'm sure its fine planting in rented property (but only if you're planning on staying there a while)

Cheers peeps.. liked tropicals for about 6 years but moved from Hereford to Notts 5 years ago and always lived in flats but managed to get the other half into tropicals so now starting to fill the patio at his with potted tropicals until we get a place in the next 12 months or so.
As for duck...its not quite crept into my vocabulary yet as not a Notts thoroughbred but its defo a Notts thing to... 'alreet ma duck'

Re: Pics from a newbie
Hi Kev, and welcome
Glad you finally made it
Shame you're only renting as that is a good blank canvas garden there. I always thought they were on about ducks as it rains a lot up there

Eyup duck! I'm sure is fairly universal, it's certainly common in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and parts of Lancashire.
Why people want to associate themselves with aquatic wildfowl I'll never know, strikes me as being a bit quackers.
