Lovely healthy looking seedlings Goggle icon_cheers I'm finding the debaoensis frustratingly slow though to get those lovely multi forked leaves, here they have forked just the once so far. I mentioned it to a friend not so long ago and was assured that it would eventually.

Looking good Goggle, had a look at your link very nice looking plant, very graceful :D . I see one of your pots has two seedlings, is this two seperate plants or growing from one seed do you think? Hope they do well for you, even if they look like they have hatched from chicken eggs

No Trudy, just two leaves, the egg is eventually going to be the centre of the plant and will be surrounded by fronds in typical Cycad manner but, as Di says, it's not going to be anytime soon!

Yes, I agree. Good things are definitely worth waiting for and that fact that having these rare plants is helping to keep endangered species thriving is an added fascination.

Should have 3 good sized rare cycads (including my Ferox) by the time I reach retirement age.

You should check out www.minorgarden.com for rare cycad seedlings.
What Jan has to offer is quite outstanding and inexpensive as well.
He advertises them on Ebay as well...

Rick

Cycads seedlings grow best in groups of 6 ...enjoy...make sure the soil it not to sticky..leave to almost dry out between watering...

I wish i could get some seedlings from chicken eggs...would be a lot less expensive and non germinaters would do for breakfast! :)

Thanks for the link Steph, some interesting stuff on there, I'll have to have a good look when I get time. ;)

Michael, you need to get a thread going in Member's suppliers so we know when you get new stuff in.

6 seedlings at a time? Do you sell deeper windowsills?
