Beccariophoenix alfreddi uk

Well i'm after palms that look like cocos nucifera but are hardy and i came across this one > Beccariophoenix alfredii < does anyone know how hardy this is ? how would it do down south here ? also what's it growth rate ?

No chance outside in the UK. Our winters are too long & summers too cool & short. I had one survive last winter, but it slowly faded away over the summer & another I bought in the spring died over the summer too... Save your money...

Had three two died the othe just doesn't grow sorry it's a short message but I'm posting this from my iPhone and it's not east

I have 2 but they are both in the greenhouse and even there, they don't do well. If they look the same this time next year, I expect they will end up on the compost heap as just another failure - however, it is very wet and windy here.... :oops:

I've got a couple free ones this year that have been in the green house all year. They have grown a bit but not the best shade of green.
