WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
Went into Local Telford Wilko, small musa marked down from £5 to £1.50 and Med size still at £5.
Took a few £1.50 and 1 £5 at the counter, to my surprise the £5, scanned at 1pence, yes 1pence!!
I asked the lady could I get a few more, so I did grabbed 5 at 1p and 3 at £1.50. 8 Plants for £4.55 Bargain
Good luck to other !
Can post pic later if required

There are not many things that you can buy for 1p! Well done
Re: WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
I have seen them, you may have just bought a Musa Dwarf Cavendish, they are notorious for mislabeling.

That was the longest delayed double posting I've done! Damn phone.
Re: WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
Cavendish are not hardy at all but if you keep them above 30*c with 60% humidity and strong light you may be lucky and get some edible nanas after a year lol.Sat wrote:What do these bit grow tall like proper musa basjoo ?

Sat, is that wilkies in the town centre or wellington? I'm off tomorrow so I might pop in
Re: WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
Even if they do turn out to be a type of cav, its still pretty cheap
Re: WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
Thanks will post pic
Yes cheap so ok , just that I store all my musa in garage over winter, no place to store plants above 10 c
Do I have to store these in the house? Wife be none to please!
It's town centre , none 1p left but few £1.50 left

I'm sure you know your Basjoos and your Cavs but Cavs make really good houseplants. Even my ex has kept mine alive indoors.

Bananas are ok indoors, but they do have a habit of 'sweating' occasionally. Not the sort of thing to have near soft furnishings

Re: WILKO MUSA BAJOO BARGAIN - ALERT
If they are dwarf cav, they do not go dormant, so need to be above 10C for maybe 20 hours a day, no lower than 6C for a short time, and in the highest light you can give them. A dark, unheated garage will see them die in a very short time.
Best regards
