I also use old duvets and not forgetting old duvet covers for covering dormant tree ferns where the lack of light is not important. I do remove them when the weather improves.

Interestingly, the Northumbs coast has the same absolute minimum. The average winter temperature is a lot lower, though!real_ale wrote: Tresco weather fact:

That was a one off in '87 for Tresco, i remember it well, stuck in Birmingham city centre at night, snowflakes like feathers, 6 inches in a hour. what i remember it was that cold front come from Russia on a easterly wind from Siberia with a wind chill around -20+ and air temp around -7 during the dayConifers wrote:Interestingly, the Northumbs coast has the same absolute minimum.
