Looking good Carl, I'm also looking at the plant in the 1st pic, guessing at green form of persicaria?

That's a Eremurus or Foxtail lily of some description.

Looking remarkably lush after the poor start to the year. How high are the raised beds that's you've created?

Thanks for the replys Coddy the grass at the front is Miscanthus 'Cabaret' and Arundo Donax 'Versicolor' at the back of the boarder.Cordy it's a green form of pericaria unsure of variety it has a pink flower and flowers all summer long one of my favourites. Here's a pic from last year to show plant in flower
image.jpg
Regarding the poker it's Eremurus again unsure of variety I got it off a Dutch seller at the Suffolk garden show about ten years ago it was sold as 'Cleopatra' but that has an Orange flower so it's not that one,Not so many flower heads this year but still looking good. All the Canna's are this years divisions apart from Taney and Musifolia 'Grande' which were over wintered in the ground for the third year running Grande is well behind compared to previous years and Taney is now taking off.Back in March I moved the greenhouse up the garden to a more sunnier position and this has helped the Canna's get off to a better start cosidering the dull cool weather that March and April gave us. Chris the raised beds are 14 inches at their highest and 12 inches at their lowest a mixture of scaffolding boards and some wood I got from work that they use to clad the standoff's.looking forward to seeing your new garden develop over the coming years. When I plant the Canna's I always dig in obscene amounts of well rotted Horse manure and Chicken pellets this year I have added Fish Blood and Bone into the mix so that may explain the 'Lush' look icon_thumleft

Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

The persicaria is possibly 'Firetail' but I may be wrong as there are several similar. 'Taurus' is another nice form and I think the leaves are better.

Planty of nice lush growth though icon_thumleft
