Queen palm! strange plant. What makes you like it ? It looks simple. Does it have any fragrance ? If you give up, it will die.

Re: I am giving up on my Queen palm.
So far this year it has grown a new leaf out to about 6 feet from a 6 inch start in May?
It seems to be doing well so far and I noticed another spear pushing up from the base yesterday.
The new 6 foot leaf still has grow out another 2 feet or so to match the others so it may do it before mid October.
So far I have four leaves on this palm and I will see what sort of winter we have this year.
This summer has been very sunny so far in Southampton with over 250 hours plus each month since June so our climate seems to be getting back to some sort of normality.
All the Oleander shrubs are also flowering well this year in Southampton.
None flowered last year that I could see as it was so cold and wet.
