Bringing festive cheer to a bleak time of year

As the Festive season is upon us, and it's dark much more than light,
I thought I try to bring a bit of Christmas cheer, to brighten the eternal night

Marrying my garden with Christmas.

As this is an artificial tree is was all in the loft and was brought down and erected in one evening, for Zero cost.

Ok then, lets see your trees and lights

Great view, I didn't even notice the tree at first, too busy looking at that fantastic garden.

I know it's still mild but, WOW.

I may sound like a christmas grinch but remove the tree and replace with nice indoor palm and it would be perfick

If you look in detail there is quite a lot of dead and dying stuff as things die off for winter, but the hardy evergreen exotic backbone remains

There is a Kentia Palm there all year except over Christmas/ New Year.

These are the outside lights.

None on the Palm this year as some lights are not working, as they don't have a particularly long life, and can't be replaced at this time.

We prepare the tree for the Santas presents on 24 december just prior the Santa visit and we keep it with the lights on untill 7 January or so.

You have the tree for the traditional 12 days of Christmas, we try to stretch festivities through the whole of December.

No tree here as no kiddies to enjoy it. I do love Christmas and seeing the neighbours lit trees up on the hill that my window faces.

I also love the sound of an excited child as she/he open presents...I still remember the kiddies as they ride their first bike on a Christmas day..

When my Bichon Frisé greeting cards arrive from American and Canadian friends they go on my front window along with lights and Christmas ornaments.
