Well, just been out and measured the new babies vital statistics.
They had a breezy and wet night in the back garden last night and look chirpy this morning!
Leaving them in their pots for a few weeks as we are off to Goa on 8th March for two weeks and will plant them when we get back.
Trachycarpus Waggie - Trunk height is 17inches. 19inches measured around the base of the trunk. Whole plant measures 56inches from the base at pot top level to the tip of the leaves.
It has two new spears up and is a fantastic plant.
It looks exactly like the one cordyman has shown.
The Butia Capitata - measures 65inches from base at pot top level to the tip of leaves - WOW!!!!
24inches measured around base of trunk.
Has three new spears showing well.
Very pleased with these two beautiful plants - so well grown and healthy - thanks to George!
I've been trying to get photos on to here - the last hour has been extremely frustrating - trying so hard to understand how to send them from mini ipad. No luck so far. Feeling the need for strong alcohol but its a tad early!!!!!
