Thought I'd join the forum rather than use my wife, Cheryls login (which she will re-submit at some point)

I'm a long time planter of 'stuff' in the garden (usually under supervision) and have somehow started to take an interest in the plants, rather than just how they look. I'm by no means an expert (far from it!) but am learning bits as we go along.

Glad you decided to join Andrew. I don't think we have had a couple on here for a long time. Hope you enjoy the forum.

I'm back now.

Andrew, you hid your lack of interest in gardening from me for over thirty years! As we visited garden and nurseries together since 1984 I thought you liked gardening......not just went along with it because you wanted the garden to look nice.

He has been upgraded Ele; he's built me a fabulous polytunnel with heated sand bed. There is a fruit cage on the back to harden stuff off and protect them from the chooks. This heat has been very challenging but he's growing plants from seed now. Two years ago he wouldn't even help me prick stuff out.

It is a bit (make that a lot) hit and miss.

I might even have my Bismarkia Nobilis seeds germinating

I hate to tell you this but you are bound sure to kill those off, even the best of us have done that. Try something a little less challenging.  . Oh and by the way welcome in your own right. icon_thumleft

Chainsaw Kid is a spoilsport, Dogman. :ahhh!: Ignore his comment about Bismarkias. I have a much more positive approach......enjoy the challenge....then you can weep when they fail :?
(Other than that, just go for it and prove us all wrong  )

I'd love for them to grow but if they did it would be more luck than judgement by the sounds of it. It does say that germination can take 8 months so I guess I have another good six months of delusion ahead of me
