Hardiest cannas

As always it depends on your location and garden. I personally don't leave any canna our over winter but I'm in Yorkshire. As to the hardiest I'm really not sure. They're easy to over winter. Just place let the leaves die back and don't let them dry out and then give lots of sun and warmth in spring.

Hello from Norwich

Sounds like you have the bug. What plants do you have?

Welcome. Sounds like you have a very challenging climate. What's the average low temperatures in winter? I have some tender plants and keep in a polytunnel outside which has a small electric heater in it.

Musa basjoo pups

The pups are hard to get through winter even with straw. I just wait until late autumn before hard frost's arrive and cut down as close to the main stem as possible and pot on in a good free draining multi purpose and keep frost free.
