Re: Id this creeper please

thanks guys, ill try the weedkiller and bagging technique. have been ripping it up for months, but as others mentioned, it just grows back from the tiniest root left. wouldnt mind if it stayed as a ground cover, but it winds itself around other plants, strangulating them, even preventing their stems...

Id this creeper please

Hi

Can someone please ID this creeper for me. And if someone can tell me how to kill it alone, I would be so happy!

it has invaded the entire garden, strangling every single plant!

Re: Help, i need a bigger conservatory..

Your ensete leaves look pink? theyre purple, and green and yellow. funny you should say that though. The peruvian lillies that im growing inside the conservatory are indeed light pink. I took one of the pots into the garden, and the leaves darkened to deep purple quite quickly. Perhaps its the filt...

Re: Eddoes and other eatable plants?

Well those edoes and colocasia i planted certainly seem to be doing well in the hot weather in the conservatory! Im afraid the colocasia, which i placed in the fish pond, is going to take over everything! it wont stop growing!! fell over a couple of times, ive kept it in a small pot, but its just gr...

cheap doesnt have to mean tacky. If he used a empty tomato tin with the label removed, he'd have a lovely chrome effect spray head.

Re: Hosta's effective slug/snail management?

Re: Hosta's effective slug/snail management?

Im using nematodes in my indoor raised beds that they managed to climb into. If sprinkled into the ground, its meant to control and kill them in the soil for up to 6 weeks. It says one pack treats 40msq but not sure how effective it is outdoors. its killing them indoors, but have to keep the soil mo...

Re: Your plants that are #growing right now picture thread

These are all in the conservatory and growing fast. I guess its cheating, but at least you get better temps in there :) Bananas and hostas now kicking off big time. The jasmine and cestrum nocturnum are flowering or almost flowering. Clematis scrambled up the trellis like mad, I needed something to ...

Re: osmanthus fragrans

id like to keep it potted in a heated conservatory. might try and source one. Only found one source so far, Burncoose, and reasonably priced, but shipping takes it to £30, which is a bit much.

Re: osmanthus fragrans

You think delavayi is a scented as fragrans?
Would you say it fills a room, or its something you have to smell at close quarters?

Re: osmanthus fragrans

Hi Does anyone actually have a Osmanthus fragrans growing in the UK? ( Not necessarily the aurantiacus variation) I ask because it seems incredibly difficult to locate anyone selling it in UK, though many are selling other types of Osmanthus, but i believe the "fragrans" is the most heavily scented ...
