I have seen the odd one for sale for around £6 in morrisons but never have the money to get another. I would like another may be at some point when i can afford one lol. :lol: :roll:

I've got a cutting someone sent me rooted well and put out two new small leaves its potted up on my landing now. I'm hoping it will grow into a giant in time but will see how it goes. It hasn't grown at all over winter but now the weather is starting to look better hopefully it will start moving aga...

Ooh hope so there were 20 seeds and would be nice to get a few of these going should make for a nice plant in the side of my pond during the summer etc then try and over winter them indoors.

Ive just looked at the seeds again today and i can see two have started to germinate so far with a very tiny almost hard to see grass like blade just sprouting. so hopefully more will germinate and they will keep growing. I suppose when there big enough to handle i can move them to there small pots ...

Ok cool. I planted outs on the 7th march as if yet these didn't seen to be any movement. Hopefully they will start moving soon if not I will get some more when I can.

sorry for bringing up an old topic but was just wondering: I brought a few papyrus seeds for my little girl to grow as she loves all thing Egyptian and she loved the idea of growing these. Ive got them in a tub with the damp tissue paper but just wondering how long do these take ruffly to germinate?...

I got some good germination from most of the banana seeds the last time round only one from the pink fuzzy banana seeds germinated but one is one and I was happy with that. I got 14 wild musa, 3 snow banana, two ventricosums and 3 musa sikimensis. They were only small lots of 8 seeds in each group b...

none of mine have germinated :-( tried a couple of lots but not one there still in the tubs been there since the 8th of september with no movement so im doubtfull that anything will grow. The seeds were from a good reliable sorce that ive never had trouble with befor. I will try again with more seed...

I got it from eBay its a fur real toy sings dances repeats etc lol but I like it as its quite realistic looking and I though would be cool to have in the tiki hut in the summer lol It's called squrkers macaw ;-) I even found a website that modifies them and turns them into other types and cockatoos ...

Are you going to paint the roof? or leave it as it is? i reckon wicker screening would look good draped over the roof :-) Looks good stephen. I want to put reed screening over the roof as its a nice yellow type color and think it would give it the tiki hut look but with winter looming I've decided ...

What's with the puffin? one of my kids plastic garden ornaments that came with us with the move i like to hide it round the side and under the plants were it cant be seen half the time lol. I had to compromise the puffin the owl and the snail stayed but the gnomes had to go lol there away in the ga...

as promised here are some up to date progress pics i think it looks wonderful just like a little show home garden its taking shape now I couldn't be happier with the progress all it needs now is all the jungle plants and the reed screening on the tiki hut roof....oh and the stepping stone path thoug...
