Really like the waggy and chamaerops cerifera wilza
The cordyline Karo kiri looks interesting too

Best palm for pots

Good evening all

I'm looking at getting a couple of palms for some pots. I
Which palms would be best suited?
Or would I be better off with some cordylines?

I brought 6 eddoes around 2 weeks ago and 3 now have green shoots showing.

Hedychuim spicatum

Last year was the first year growing these. Got it from amulree last June. Hopefully it's going in the ground this year but it's currently fin the un heated GH. My Assam orange and cautleya spicatum both lost there leaves but the hedychuim spicatum has kept them Question is do I keep these on or cut...

I was going to plant it out this year if it had roots.
Would it be still possible to plant it direct in the soil this spring?

I got a 14 inch one just before Xmas for £15 from home base in the sale.
It's in a pot of multi purpose compost at the minute, checked it today in GH and it's still got no roots is this normal?
