I had already potted it up in free draining soil and it seems to be doing well, will move into the greenhouse over the winter months

Hosta Question
Thanks, going to give it a go. I'm plagued with and have always had poor results with Hostas. However, a variety called Sum and Substance is proving to be pretty resistant so far!

Hosta Question
I have purchased my Hostas purely for the foliage effect and find the flowers negligible, my question is; if I remove the flower stem will the plant put more energy and growth into producing stronger foliage?
Many thanks

Dasylirion Advice Please
Hi, I rescued this Dasylirion from casualty corner, it's pot bound in it's 12L pot so I will pot it on. Obviously it is a little the worse for wear with the spears being dry and feathery at the ends, perhaps it has suffered from over watering? Any tips on how I can nurture it back to its best would ...

Palm Help & Advice Please
This Palm which is approximately 1 foot in height has been in its current position in the garden for 12-18 months without issue. Today upon inspection I discovered that the new growth from the centre had died and it came away from the plant without effort. Do I have a big problem with this Palm and ...

Washingtonia robusta, advice please
Hi, I got this Washingtonia robusta today, it has four trunks ranging between 8-11 cm in circumference and it is pot bound (21cm pot) and will need potting up. However, before I do anything I would appreciate some advice please. 1) Should I pot it on as it is,or can it/should it be split up? 2) If l...
