Arisaema Utile Seeing The Light.
The tuber was planted the first week in April. The first photo was taken about a week ago, it looked like a sharks fin :) 8013D409-A8C1-4F51-8585-D63E22C4CAD2.jpeg It grew rapidly to about 6”, and then a split appeared down the side, with a green alien creature curled up inside :alien: 56817676-58EC...

A week on and some sunshine, and ribs of green are starting to appear, plus some colouration on the stems. Hopefully my initial thoughts were unfounded

Caladium Germination Advice Please!
My first year of growing Caladiums, I’ve three on the go in a heated propagator (22c) in the gh and they are all just sticking their noses in the air, 1/4” - 1/2”. My question is at what point should I either turn off the propagator or take them out and put them on a shelf in the gh? icon_scratch (I...

Thanks ck, I’ll bide my time and see what happens
I’ve just taken this photo and there are signs of green appearing on the leaves, so maybe I’m just being too impatient, I thought the leaves would initially appear more green than yellow!

Hi CK, thanks for the response (you too Charlie!), this is a photo of the container. It has no holes in the bottom and sits in the larger plastic wicker one. There is only a surface layer of gravel on the top, and I have given it an aquatic plant feed. I have a feeling it’s missing a nutrient of som...

My first Thalia, it’s been in this container for a couple of months, the growing medium is Westland aquatic compost and is topped up with water. It gets sun virtually all day and as you can see it has new growth. To me however the new shoots all look very pale, is this the norm for this plant or is ...

Colocasia Buying Advice.
Hi, a Colocasia virgin here after buying my first plant :) ! Please could someone advise me what might be the best one to start with? I quite fancy the variegated type but appreciate some are probably more easy to care for than others. At this time of year should I be looking at buying a rhizome or ...

Hello! Are Club Tropical Drinks Really Free?!
Hi all! I’m Kev and reside in sunny  South Manchester. Our garden has been an ongoing project over the last 25years, a lot of blood, sweat & tears in the process (mainly mine :) )! As ever with gardening, some projects have been successful and others not so. It was always meant to have an A...
