I had the great fortune and very exciting role of being the planting co-ordinating in a public planting project in my home town. Although the project is primarily for wildlife, there is a challenging area of the park which is extremely dry and under the part shade of a Cedar. I thought therefore I'l...

Re: Stephen's blog

Great pics Stephen, your garden looks n very good health indeed. How's the water table been this winter? Have you seen any effect of the wet? I know you've suffered in the past. I imagine it's been quite high, the water table at the allotment not far from here was 18 inches below the soil surface s...

Re: Looking Good for the Weekend!

nothing like that here, warm at first the returning to 9-11C maximums after the weekend!

It feels quite humid, but cool as it is cloudy.. rain coming today so it will end up being fairly cool, perhaps only arond 10-12C, relative to recently.

Next few days look ok though, in general around 15-17C

Re: Looking Good for the Weekend!

By my reckoning it could reach 20C here today. Currently 11C and rising, with hazy sunshine.

If we carry on at this anomaly throughout summer, and then Autumn, we will get the warmest year on record

am I think too far ahead?

The haze has lifted a bit allowing some stronger sunshine in, and accordingly it's 15.6C right now.
