Hi all,
Anybody know of any good sites for medium to large terracotta pots?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Very nice Mick. Do you keep it on a heat mat? Hi Gabriel, No, not this year as less pampered. Just ticking over in the far corner of my kitchen, small amount of warm rainwater in bottom tray once every 2 weeks or so. Im not sure if I would expect pups but it is doing well for you. seems over here t...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Hi all, Aeae ticking over nicely in the kitchen (just took it outside for a quick airing, misting and photo shoot). Not as pampered as last winter, looking a bit tatty at the moment, although a new roller is slowly emerging. The roots have now filled up the 7.5L pot. Should take off this summer now ...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Thanks for the info Mike. Still in the shed at the moment, but will place outside now to enjoy our brief summer spell!
Will keep in the shade. Now feeding with seaweed extract.
Did you manage to get one yourself Mike?

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Hi All, Another update on AeAe. Managed to come through Winter/Spring OK, then decided to repot into a larger pot then placed outside in early June...leaves started turning brown even though in shade. I am guessing it may have been the colder nights which caused this. Any ideas? Repotted back again ...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Update on the Musa AeAe. Now has six leaves showing. Probably not as variegated as some I have seen, but this maybe an advantage in keeping this plant. I like this plant it has character! Each leaf is different! It is still on windowsill even though it has been -6C outside, inside min has been aroun...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Ericaceous liquid helps to a certain extent,a lot of high nitrogen will make the white bits on leaves turn grey, what i have also found with Ae Ae, the more variegated the leaves, the less cold tolerant the plant is.I have successfully overwintered my Three Ae Ae at 10c min in a greenhouse over the ...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
any updates on how this plant is growing now Have taken photo tonight. Still growing as kept on kitchen widowsill at mo. The heat mat is now on a timer for overnight use only, as has been cold the last few weeks. The watering has been reduced and feeding stopped. The minimum temp overnight is about...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
I would have said it is always dodgy buying a variegated plant as a rhizome or corm, as even if taken from an Ae Ae, about 50% of the pups produced are plain green. You seem to be lucky in that you have a variegated plant. I got this plant from a friend of mine in Thailand for £40 plus cert/postage...

Re: Musa AeAe corm
Just to give an update on the potted Musa AeAe. After about two weeks nothing really happened with new growth so I took the corm out and dusted with a rooting hormone and repotted again. Initially the stem kept rotting so had to keep cutting down to eventually there was hardly any stem at all! Then,...

Have now cut pseudostem to below damaged area and removed any brown outer parts to reveal as shown. Now planted in a clear po...
