Re: Phoenix canariensis_CIDP Blowover Repair

I know you are well meaning, but to place a palm into bondage is un-natural and a violation of the natural order.

Your palm can make its own recovery without such restrictions.

Re: what type of palm?

The photo is titled "PlantFiles: Picture #7 of Chilean Wine Palm, Coquito de Chile (Jubaea chilensis)" maybe that answers the question?

Re: Tea Plant

Thank you for the replies!

Conifers, it's the unethical and unfair compensation surrounding tea plantations abroad that motivates me to grow my own tea plant.

Fair trade is the only way!

Re: eucomis pictures

Just out of curiosity, do all Eucomis flowers smell of rotting fish?

That was the case with my Bicolour so I got rid of it the moment it bloomed. What a shame!

Re: Colocasia ID please

I saw one of these in a nearby Aquatic Centre, looks good I must say.

Is the dark colouration due to Melanin too? I thought this pigment is found in humans only?

Tea Plant

I want to grow my own organic Tea plant in my garden.

Is it possible or is it too tender?

As I've mentioned on another post I have just bought several of these, great starter plant for exotic gardening!

Good to read the opinions, looks like this forum has got plenty of experts!

Release the tree from its bondage and you will be greatly appreciated by the spirit.

Re: Canary Island Date Palm

Thanks for replies guys, you lot seem to be a nice bunch of knowlegeable people :)

Yes, I'm aware that MoonCup is indeed a ladies brand but I've been using this name for many years now, referring to the mystical powers of Tarot Cups, and my pagan beliefs in the Moon Goddess, represented by Diana :)

Re: Found these under my bannanas

These animals are best left to thrive in the wild and are totally un-natural in a domestic setting!

Canary Island Date Palm

Hi everybody!!!

I've just bought several of these, different sizes. Good price for a palm!!!

How good are they in the UK? Reliably hardy? If not is it ok with frost fleece?

Regards,
Sarah
