Many nursery growers use coir nowadays. Not only because it's cheap, lightweight and has good water/air balance. Most important is coir does not deteriorate very quickly, which means coir stays coir for a long time. Other compost or peat based media deteriorate very quickly usually within one growin...

I get the impression you always looks for plants that do not exist. My suggestion- plastic plants or just send a letter to Monsanto with a few million dollars included and they will make you the plants that meet your requirements.

Gingko bilobae produces such roots called "chi-chi". If someone is patient and waits a few hundred years will have a nice jungle effect :wink:

Now that's a really cool plant, a bit like crassifolius but upside-down. Anyone has it or is it still not available in northern hemisphere?

I've decided to treat myself with a Cordyline, one of the pinkies. My question is which of them is most pinky/striking? What would you choose?

Pink Passion
Cherry/Purple Sensation
other..?

Unfortunately lectric Pink is to small, I want a tree in future.
