Thanks again guys, it certainly looks like the pictures of Acacia melanoxylon i have found on the net my next question is if it does survive our winters will it tolerate being pruned if it gets to big :?:

Hi last summer (2010) i found a seedling growing in the trunk of my newly imported tree fern (Dicksonia antarctica) i took it out and potted it up and by spring 2011 it had grown to about 18" tall then i planted it out, and since spring it has shot up to about 7 foot tall but i have no idea what it ...

Hi around august this year i took some cuttings of a shrub in a friend's garden unfortunately they didn't take and i would like to know what it is so i can buy one i did take a picture of the cuttings so hopefully you might be able to id them for me :?:

Full of weeds at the moment i started a new job last year and haven't had a lot of spare time to keep on top of things :oops:, The only real losses from winter where my musa bajsoo's and a small Trachycarpus fortunei despite having a -12 deg in December

I have 2 clumps of bamboo that i want to cut all the thin canes out and take all the bottom bushy growth out when would be the best time to do this :?:
