Interesting about your tree fern dave and the fronds being extremely yellowy. My tree ferns fronds are not as green as they was now and have a little show of yellowing to them not a lot but is more noticeable when up close and tiny bits of brown on top. I am guessing this was from the few hard frost...

Be my second frost in a row after tonight. Not bothering with fleece though as it won't last for long due to rain moving in. :) :-)

Just had to clean a load off the dormant grow points of my colocasia corms. I wondered why the growth points had turned a dark green and some tips had blackened. I put them on top of my kitchen cupboard and just forgot about till now.

I have had 7+ frosts. I think some people have just been lucky, and i wouldn't say i am in one of the coldest areas in the UK but then i am certainly not one of the warmest either. When there is easterlies i get the full force of it. It was just the last bit stephen then with the added wink it kind ...

Paulownia are very fast here, much faster than eucalypts, so far no broken bits on my 30' tree so good shout I would say, needs lots of sun to flower well With the battering you guys are getting down there i would say that is a massive achievement. Well it looks (finally) like this year or some will see the first air frosts.. mid-week it is likely that a good portion of central areas, and down into southern areas will see 0C to -1C widespread around Monday to Thursday and perhaps incrementally beyond.. wind gusts here are only seconds apart from each other now where as they were a bit more spaced apart. Is looking rough out there.
