Hi all, thought I'd repost this link showing pictures of the winter shelters Harry builds for our butias. Might be useful for anyone further north. A scanner is the best way to get prints onto a computer, so if you have one or know someone who has one it's well worth it. icon_thumleft Also, does your digital camera have a memory card (about 2.5 x 3.5cms). Just wondered if it's draining well enough Di. Ours likes lots of feed and water but as soon as we water it, it more or less comes out the bottom of the pot.

It depends what you're starting with. They'll get thicker each year. Cut the thinnest ones out in spring to encourage thicker ones to grow icon_thumleft
