Is it possible to transplant a large Agave Americana in winter?
Tempted to buy a large 4ft by 6ft across Agave (Century Plant) that I have seen on eBay; the only issue I have, is that the buyer has to transplant the plant themselves which will mean digging it up now, and with several months of cold weather ...

So on the 14th of November 2018 the Americana Variegata had grown six leafs and the Wocomahi had grown seven over fourteen months. ...

Agave.....almost in flower
Well, it's almost there. This has taken almost exactly a year to get from lump at the top of the plant to ready to flower. I'm pretty convinced that this is a Montana.
I can't seem to get the image upright, so my apologies for the need to neck crane!

Agave titanota black shark shoui
Just arrived courtesy of eBay. Another rare Japanese cultivar as claimed or another tissue culture agave? I love it and have not seen another one similar for sale anywhere. It's got a bit of superficial damage but that should soon grow out.

Agave havardiana and Yucca gloriosa
I finished my arid bed in the Spring and misplaced the IDs for my two of the bigger plants .... just found them!! Agave havardiana and Yucca gloriosa. I would really appreciate a few snippets of advice, particularly overwintering. My intention is to cloche them to keep dry.

Agave attenuatta got too big what to do
My attenuatta is not four feet tall in the trunk and has a huge head,is it possible to decapitate the head leaving a small trunk to hopefully grow roots? It's getting too big to lug in and out in winter

Agave angustifolia marginalia - hardy in the uk?
Hi, I have been given a small offset and was wondering if anyone had one planted in the uk? Amrulee are suggesting that it handles cold and wet winters well, but I am sceptical.
Thanks, paul
