went back to Ikea this morning and from about 15 i saw yesterday there was just 5 left , so not much of a choice
but got it one for £10.

Greendragon , you can be amazed of what you can get from a local asian shop look viewtopic.php?f=109&t=18510 plus got more tubers stored and ready for summer. Guys... not a yucca , the tips of the leaves are round and there no spiny tips , the leaves are hard as a sansevieria .

They are not really good for a sunny position , unless they have lots of water , why don`t you create a little bog area with some pond liner , just make sure to pull them out before the first frost , they can happly grow in water , but in cold water they will rotting . also tra to plant as many as y...

Thank you Steph , I`ve actually just noticed that amulree sell one at £200
the cheapest I`ve found on internet is £49 , Ikea never sell anything special but sometime I`ve found heliconias and few frost hardy succulent.

Variegated plant ID help

Can anyone help me with this ID , it`s not an amarillis or a crinium , it`s actually not a bulb
the leaves are really hard , almost like an agave but non an agave .

Why don`t you simply grow them in large pots and sink them in the clay soil ,when winter is coming simple pull them out . I`ve got about 9/10 variety all coming from my local asian shop .

Hi all , just been to Ikea and noticed a philodendron xanadu for £10
according to davesgarden it`s hardy to -6.6 c , can it be one of the most cold hardy?
will it worth buy one?
