Re: musa sikkimensis

Hi guys,

I got 2 from this guy - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Musa-Sikkimen ... 1082670067

Nice plants - they have yet to show any red (under leaf shows a little but no striping) but growing nicely on my window sill - 2 new leaves in 2 weeks.

I paid £12 for both (inc postage) icon_thumright

Re: Canna showing growth

I have a Canna 'Pretoria' which I bought reduced to 2 quid (or was it 1?) at B&Q in September and it has been outside all the time. Not only is it still green, it's putting out a leaf icon_cheers You have got to watch these butters from B&Q - the 'tropicana' they sell are pretty much all infected. ...

I had a small bid but looking more closely at the picture it is totally photoshopped = I wont be bidding again. Im not sure I trust these are actually what you are bidding on.

(im not just talking about blurred face - check out her fingers with green and the missing end of leaves..)

Fertiliser - Musa and Canna

Hi all,

Just after a quick bit of advice on which fertiliser is best for my favs - Musa and Cannas.

From previous reading high ratio of Nitrogen is the best? If that is the case then how about lawn feed - this seems to have a massive amount more than the others?

Cheers

Re: Canna Stuttgart and Australia - new arrivals

Stuttgart is on the want list for me this year, eBay for Epsom salts. Where did you get them from? It is a lovely plant already - its on my window sill at work, and a leaf has unfurled already over night - looks like it could produce some real nice leaves. I bought through ebay but turns out the gu...

Would it not fit in a car boot if you took out the shelf? You could take 2 forks to try and separate it to make it transport better.
I thought that but then decided Its a nice plant complete for somebody that wouldn't separate it - based on me thinking somebody would love it more than me ;) :)

Seems I may have underestimated the size of this, after chatting to the guy it looks like it maybe a bit to big for me to transport easily.
It will be relisted for anybody that wants it get it quickly...
