Re: Twin stem trachycarpus fortunei

Ok thanks, not too fussed if they grow at different rates, will add some variation. And if they are single stem will treat both separately. Just like the close togetherness of two same palms

Twin stem trachycarpus fortunei

Just bought a twin stemmed young Trachycarpus, does this need double the amount of palm focus/booster, or is it all from one root? Anyone growing something like this with any 'grown up' pics?? I'm hoping they gradually grow apart slightly....?

Re: Dee's Garden Rebuild from Winter Damage Blog.

Cracking garden = gives me a sense of what colours go well together in a real life setting, so when the bulk of different shades of greens are set - i will be ready to add more colour. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Siki

I got a baby basjoo, ensete and sikki on my south/east facing window sill, seem to be growing nicely, they need humidity and spraying them with a water mist seems to help leaves stay good inside my kitchen.

Re: First time buyer house, with a second rate garden!

Kata - when applying grass seed - ensure you have lots of grooves in the lawn soil and top off with top soil on top. Fern Rob - i think applying gypsum to the lawn helps drainage.... aswell as spiking in spring & hollowtining in autumn. Well that's what i did anyways! Codfather - cant find your blo...

Re: How much is your water bill?

My water bill just came in, combined water and waste at: £303, was £283 last year. I am not on a meter. I think that makes me the cheapest :p AND I live in "expensive" London!

Re: Coddy's Blog - Some pics as promised....first ever video

Ill attempt this probably next year, as i have enough jobs in the garden to do first, I might have to incorporate some solar brick lights every 10 bricks or so , like here, would make night time more interesting! http://www.greenfingers.com/superstore/product.asp?dept_id=228&pf_id=LT1558D and an exa...
