they are so cheap i did not bother with the seed. dave ison was selling them for a couple of quid each 2 or 3 leaf seedlings.

I have some seedlings but after seeing others experience with this, its not promising. It needs better summer temps then we can provide it. The palm does grow quicker then I expected but not going to shell out for a big one

I got a washingtonia that survived both the cold winters in the wirral. Its difficult and most likely to fail but not impossible. Its that little bit of hope that I like to cling on to. If I fail this winter I will probably try again as this is one of the most spectacular palms big healthy ones look...

keep the transplanted Trachycarpus moist. It will take a long time to re-establish. group planting the smaller ones? or are they going to be planted in singles?

before you know it you won't have room to move and you will be trying to remove stuff to make room, the plants will be protecting each other. I post pics with weeds a plenty, its your garden at the end of the day and so what if it has weeds big deal. what can other people do to you if they see a wee...
