You can buy the seeds easy enough for E scaber at jungle seeds or Haskings .It can look scruffy winter time and full of seed pods .If mild can keep flowering but suffer wind damage . With the seed pods you loose a lot of the flowers . The photo is last years seedling .I had one grow up a oak tree to...

I would love to visit Brazil for the different cultures food and scenery .The Butia do look great .But for me it is the reptiles Anacondas Green Iguanas and Caimans and don't forget the Venomous snakes .Every place I go on holiday I go hunting .Is the language a problem Nigel I think I'ts Portuguese .

I don't buy much from B&Q only reduced stuff .The prices have gone up for sure .Bamboo at the start of the year when cheap .And at the end of the year the give away stuff .But its all the same old stuff lately .

I had four Ensetes for a pound each and a Beschorneria also for a pound from B&Q .The Chamaerops palms will not be as hardy as Waggies .They don't like to be to wet and cold .

I also have the Kata pillars .she's been munching on my Echiums and Brugmansia in the conservatory. .I have green fly on my Ensetes again .No red spider mites yet .

It's just if you cut them then Kris.They are a nice shrub evergreen and hardy . We use to cut them to keep a good shape .Do they go yellow in the sun ?

Don't Choisya have a strong smell like cats pee .I use to cut them in greenhouses when I left school .

They do look better than the winged rats we get pigeons a seagulls. What is the pink and purple flower in the photo .

That's him Jungle J he was good no problems .A little delay over the Christmas period .Gls parcel delivery was a little strange .The tracker said it was in Germany inbound .Next thing it was at the door .Tracker did not show outbound or on its way .But if your not in they return the next day .Thanks...

How big is the Ensete looks massive and the bougainvillea . They use to have Parakeets in surrey some place .Not been to a palm or big glass house .Have to visit one this year they look great .

I was looking at the Palm centre for Butia Eriosopatha but It did show sold out .So this one came from Spain .So I don't know if it will harden off .It might stay in a pot for a time not sure yet .It came with a Spanish spider .Which I cant find now .
